Sometimes the Best Ideas just don’t go to Plan.

When sea kayaking on rivers in towns and cities it isn’t always easy to find an easy spot to get you and your kayak safely in to the water. There isn’t always a nice sandy beach or concrete slipway on hand to let you paddle calmly off at the start of your trip.

So . . . some folks like to launch their kayak from a pier or river walkway, giving them a bit of a drop before ‘hitting’ the water. Seems easy enough if you don’t mind making a splash entry!
